GetResponse Review: Email Marketing Plus Webinars
GetResponse is an email marketing platform that has grown to include automation, landing pages, sales funnels and, on its Creator plan, webinars and courses. In the US it costs from about $19 a month for 1,000 contacts. Here is where it shines and where it does not.
A well-rounded email marketing tool with unusually broad extras. Webinars and courses on the Creator plan make it good value for educators, but the Starter plan's single automation workflow is limiting.
Best for: Creators and small businesses who want email marketing with webinars or courses in the same tool.
Pros
+Unlimited email sends on every paid plan
+Webinars, courses and website builder on Creator
+Unlimited automation workflows from Marketer
+18% off for yearly billing
+14-day free trial without a credit card
Cons
−Starter includes only 1 custom automation workflow
−Price rises as your list grows
−Prices shown in local currency can be confusing
−Funnels and courses are less central than in all-in-one funnel tools

GetResponse started as an email marketing service and now covers most of what a small online business needs to grow a list and sell to it: email campaigns and automation, landing pages, signup forms and popups, sales funnels and, on higher plans, webinars, a website builder and an online course creator.

Strengths
Email first. Unlimited monthly sends on every paid plan, with templates and AI writing tools.
Automation on Marketer. Unlimited workflows, segmentation and abandoned-cart flows cover most small-business needs.
Webinars in the same tool. On Creator you can run webinars and courses without a separate platform, which is rare for an email tool.
Low-risk trial. 14 days with no credit card, then a limited free account remains.
Drawbacks
Starter is basic. One custom automation workflow is enough for a welcome series but not for real segmentation.
Costs grow with your list. Like most email tools, you pay more as contacts increase.
Not a full funnel builder. If funnels and checkout are the centre of your business, a funnel-first tool may suit you better.
Who should use GetResponse?
GetResponse is a strong pick if email is your main channel and you want to add webinars or courses without paying for another platform. If you need a free starting point with funnels, courses and email together, Systeme.io is the cheaper option.
Yes. The interface and templates are approachable, and the free trial needs no credit card. Beginners who need automation should start on Marketer rather than Starter.
